browscap and get_browser()

Hi all,

I'm trying to get browscap support working under PHP4.0.1pl2.

I have installed PHP and Apache on my RedHat box, and downloaded the latest browscap.ini from Cyscape, and amended php.ini to point to it.

I had to put a line feed at the end of the file to stop it producing an error in the httpd log, but now it returns just about every browser (IE5, Netscape 4.71, Opera 4, Lynx) as Default Browser Capability Settings.

Can anyone suggest how I may be able to diagnose the problem?

I'm trying to get browscap.ini working. Where do I put the browscap.ini file and what do I need to add to php.ini? Your help would be much appreciated.

It might work for you.

If have, meanwhile, overcome that tell me how.
I'll be trying to adapt my client-side code to php.
