Including php

Ok now is there any way i can include a php file in a html document. Like i want top.php to be the header, what do i need to put in the HTML?

You can do it many ways (like SSI, for one). I would recommend you turn your HTML file into PHP. Put a line like this in your HTML file, where you want the header to go:

<?php include('top.php'); ?>

Then your main HTML file will run some PHP code that will pull in the top.php file.

You can't include PHP in a .html page, because .html is parsed by the html parser, NOT by the PHP parser.

You can only include PHP in .html if you tell your webserver to parse .html with the PHP parser, and that is a bad idea.

You should have searched the forum before prosting, there was a discussion about doing this yesterday....
