cookies don't work under NT but do under win95

I am setting a cookie on my local machine usings setcookie(), which works from any machine in my intranet using Xitami webserver on Windows 95.

When I upload files to My ISP, the cookie's no longer work. I have the same set-up on a colocated box using Xitami webserver, however now using Windows NT workstation. I've been told that there is no proxy server at the ISP, but there is a transparent firewall, without security blocks.

The php.ini file is the same on both machines.

Can anyone help me? Provide a clue as to why the cookies are not registering at all? Why they are not being placed in my windows/cookies folder?

what does you cookie code setting look like?
it should look something like this:
setcookie("cookiename",$id,28000);

keep it simple. forget about the other parameters.

that's exactly what it looks like...

setcookie("session", $session, time ()+10000);

It follows from a function that randomly generates the session id.

Any other suggestions??

I had the same problem

Try this...

$time = mktime()+1000;
$date = date("l, d-M-y H:i:s", ($time));
setcookie("session",$session,$date,"/");

Try it without using the time() function. hardcore the amount of time. This should work.
