Hi !

Is there a way of sendeíng a mail later ?
If the user e.g. is sending a SMS in the middle of the night, how can I send the SMS in the morning ??

On unix:

Store the message data in a nice formatted textfile and use the crontab
to execute a script (PHP in CGI mode or whatever) in the morning, that processes the messages.

Wouw that was a little fast for a slow dane like me. What do you mean by "crontab
to execute a script" ??? And what type of command must I use ?

On unix:

crontab is a deamon that can be used to start stripts or commands at any time you want.

You can use this to start a script (written by you, in whatever language you like)
to actually send the messages, at a time that you like.

If you want to use PHP in this way, you must first get CGI version of PHP
(read the manual about that)

Thank you very much for your awnsers, but I still need some information. Where can I find something about crontab ? (which chapter in php manual). Or could you give me some info about arguments, what is returned and so on ?

if your being hosted by someone they might have an area in the admin panel to run cron jobs.

Basically you tell the program to execute this file at the date and time you specified. Then the script that you created to send the email will run and send the mail.

That's pretty much it.
