switch to linx, if you have dsl or cable modem download the necessary files to your c:\linux\ and create an image file. Copy it to your linux dir and floppy disk and reboot in ms dos mode.
just type in at the
c:\deltree .
delete all directories except linux
then reboot with the floppy disk
it will get you up to the install screen and ask how you want to install it
choose download from ftp site.
after that it will install everything and partition your HD into a linux partition.
after that go online and download PHP, PERL, etc.. It should already be there in most cases.
I created 3 partitions on my 20GB hard drive so I can boot to linux, free bsd, or Win 98
