I need a hosting that gives me PHP and mySQL, i have my site hosted in this moment at www.phpwebhosting.com (in USA) but sometimes the mySQL is DOWN or the site is to slow...im paying about $10 dollars a month, y can pay about $30 a month, but i need a stable and quick server. I live in South America so if the server is in Chile or near it will be great.

Webpipe is the best one and supports php4 and postgres or mysql. They have the fastest tech support on earth to go with it. No I do not work for them but I cannot say enough good about them. I think it is 12-15 a month and they have a huge pipe.
Yeh, maybe so, but they seem to be oriental language only so I can't do much with em.

Might do, I'm working on an e-commerce site for a client using PHP4 and MySQL, thinking about hosting the site myself, but with all the work comming in right now I don't think I'll have the time to maintain the server as much as I should so I figured I'd start looking into other sources.
Oh here's a question, are you guys using the apache module version of PHP or the standard CGI version? That's a big deal with the project I'm working on cause I use the WWW-Authenticate headers to protect the admin pages.

OK, I guess the next question have you guys updated to the newest release (4.0.2 verses 4.0.1PR2), they finaly fixed some of the session handler code so that you can change the session handler from "files" to "user" in code so that php doesn't have to be hardcoded for it anymore. What I'm working on here is a complete e-commerce system using a custom session handler to keep track of all the shopping cart items in the session database.
