Free PHP hosting

Is there any free PHP hosting around?If not, how do PHP newbies, like me, get to test out there code without having to pay?

Don't know about the free hosting, but to test stuff you can always install the software on your own PC. Even if you're not a Linux-adept (like me) you can get a perfectly good working system by downloading the Win32 binaries of:
- Apache webserver (http://www.apache.org)
- PHP (www.php.net)
- MySQL (for example) (http://www.mysql.com)

On WindowsNT/2000 you can install Apache and MySQL as services, so they get started as background processes each time you boot your PC.

1. http://www.mycgiserver.com (gives you php,java,wap,perl & lot more)
2. http://www.1st-home.net
3. http://www.saxen.net

 all these guys give you free,add-free hosting. 
 the best bet is to install php on your mach & test it.

Unfortunately www.1st-home.com has a catch, you must sign up with 3 affiliates. One of the affiliates is www2.netsetter.com, they claim to double your surfing speed but in return they spy on your surfing habits (secure & insecure) and re-sell this info to marketers.
I have found www.mycgiserver.com more reliable than www.f2s.com and have also signed up with www.port5.com for php4.

I hadn't tried to access my site since Monday night. Just tried & got "Connection not established. Connection refused". I'm using mycgiserver because it has php4. I'm not crazy about the site name though www.mycgiserver.com/~WhatEver (case sensitive). I'm also sticking it out with f2s.com hoping that they finally get their server upgrade problems solved.

And What about f2s? I havent seen the online registration on their site.... what should i do
