Which php hosting company is good???
I want to find a cheap ($10.0 - 15.0)company.

How about the phpwebhosting.com
The company is so cheap, bu I don't know that is true or not, anyone can tell me about this company ???

any hosting company that charges really low prices is not in my opinion a really good host. Hosts can only charge that because they are betting that nobody will use the disk space they say or nobody will use the bandwidth they say.. Hosts have to oversell their network to make money. How could a host offer you 10 gigs of transfer and 500 mb of space for 9.95 a month.. The bandwidth alone cost more than that. I know of a new hosting company that is going to open next week called mybizhosting.com and they don't have many clients and have very powerful servers with of course PHP4 installed. I have had experiences with phpwebhosting and cihost. And totell you the truth CIHOST looked so great but they suck, and you can never contact them. On the other hand I host to sites at phpwebhosting, granted their support sucks but their servers have never gone down and they are so damn cheap. I figure if I can do everything myself then why not go with the cheap guys. I say phpwebhosting is okay in my book! Like I sadi I have two sites hosted there and no complaints from me

hehe, I too know how much it pisses me off when a host dicks around with your website. Like I said in the previous post, there will be a new community in town for PHP web hosting that won't be really cheap like some other servers. You get what you pay for, and when you need support or even help the host has to be able to afford it. Remember mybizhosting.com is coming to town next week.

Pair networks (pair.com) has a developer account with php, mysql and a lot more. This one costs 28.95$ monthly, they have very good connectivity and got no problem with them. They also have their own news server for user discussions, very helpful, I learnt a lot there. If you like to try, they have a 30 day MBG. Not the cheapest, but I recommend it.

Enough with these lousy advertisements. The best PHP/MySQL hosts are those most haven't heard about, because they don't invest everything in marketing and let their customers down with bad connectivity and support. Go with the one without flashy websites and adds on!! But those that support such thing as Perl, PHP, MySQL, Procmail and crontab, and have muliple OC-3s, and charge around $25 for 100MB of disk space and 10GB of transfer.
I've tried CIhost, the 1GB package for $20/month, but the MySQL database is limited to 25MB and they rip you off with adds on and server downtime, poor connectivity and marketing arrogance.
Luckily I found the best one by chance but must keep it low key...Good luck on the search, try looking up domain info when you come accross a speedy dynamic web site!!

The best php hosting site is www.he.net. I've tried others but had poor service and the systems were completely riddled with security holes. he.net is using PHP3 and mySQL 3.21 with PHP4 to be implemented soon. They have excellent security, high bandwitdth and stable servers for $10/month. Their strength is in uptime of the servers and very professional service.

HE is not bad. Their servers somehow seem fast from where I am, japan. Does it have to do with their location??

Actually I've settled with HE for now, but for those with higher bandwidth and space need, there are better deals out there, even though you pay for what you get.

hi there,

i am also a with HE and wonder you do japanese content and work with mysql.

i am writing mobile pages for AU, DOCOMO and J-PHONE, that is Shift-JIS encoded pages. now, HE does not run the newst version of PHP and i don t have access to the multi-byte functions (PHP 4 >= 4.0.6).

i would like to hear about your experience in this field, if possible.
