Here is something for the PHP Gods on this board to think about. I've been developing a site for a few weeks that uses PHP4's session management functions. Everything worked fine until last night. The session varibles updated every time. Last night is when things started acting strange. About 1/2 the time now when I register a session varible its state does not get saved. I've got a userid variable for example that the rest of the site checks to see if the user is logged. On the login page it is set on I can echo the session variable and see it set. However sometimes when I go to another page on the site or to a different site (using the same session by passing its ID). This variable is back to being unset. Other times it remains set fine. I've checked the drive on the server and it has plenty of room. I've also cleaned out all the PHP session data files once or twice and that doesn't seem to help. It consistantly does this with both IE and Netscape. Any ideas on the reason whey session variable are erratically getting updated would be appreciated?
