why cookies written in asp cannot be read in php

Hello everybody,

i'm getting trouble to read a set of cookies that written in asp language.I've a simple coding in php/2.0.1 and i wanted to read a cookies that has been made in asp language but when i run php/2.0.1 i didn't get any value.

Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Cookies can be set to be valid only for surtain calling urls.

for example, a cookie made valid for "/" is avialable to every calling url,
but cookies made valid for "/here/" are only available if you call them from a script in whose url starts with "/here/"

I have not tried going from ASP to PHP in reading cookies, but I have an app that sets the cookie in PHP and reads it in ASP without any problems.

Yes that's true..there is no problem to read/write cookies from asp to php version 3 and above, my concerne is in php/fi 2.0.1, where php/fi 2.0.1 application cannot retrieve information from cookies either in asp or php version 3 and above.
