Generating Queries

Here I am for more help 🙂

I need to generate a query based on a set of dropdown boxes e.g.

a user is searching for property based on rent or sale

they then choose a house, apartment, commercial or land property

BUT! if they have chosen rent the next dropdown based on price needs to be different than if they had chosen sale

e.g. Rent is something like £100 - £200 per month, £200 - £400 per month

whereas sale would go something like £90,000 - £120,000 : £120,000 - £ £180,000

how do I make the menu change or show a different menu based on the previous choices??

The best place to see this in action is carsdirect.com - my guess is that it is done in Java Script (have fun!). You could do it with PHP but they would have to choose "rent" then hit "next-->" to post onto itself and then have prices for renting based on the select box.
