PHP authentication

Hello!

Does anybody know how to make user authenticate if PHP is running as CGI module, not a separate application?

If it is under Apache as stand-alone program - it is clear, but I am forced to do it for CGI.

Anybody has any solutions or ideas?

Well you could always program your own web based login system using sessions, or just plain cookies if you were stuck in a pinch.

I've used this methood in the past, it does reauire a bit more coding on your part, but it works and still maintains at least some level of security.
