You could certainly send the images along as MIME attachments.
The trick would be getting your <IMG SRC= references to point
to them, since there is no standard for how email clients should
store attachments. If it's good enough that the recipient should
have to click on the image-bearing attachment to view it, you're
in luck, but if you really need them embedded into the html mail
page, you're probably better off leaving the IMG references
pointing to the original files on your web server.
