I upload server for internet access,netdetect for icq is on modem detection, it opens, i type in password for entrance of opening icq contact list,the icq contact list opens, not connected yet,the contact list turns white and freezes,crash gaurd warns me of intercepting crash, informs me of icq mynumber crashed,details report-OleMainThreadWndName is missing in the path. I try to revive it, it won't tell me the only option is to let program terminate it, i do, then no more options another part of norton crash gaurd comes up and either i let windows close it or something else, either way the program shuts down and I am back into total shutdown and rebooting sequence or I freeze whole computer, I have a 33.3k modem, win98,16bit and am running icq,paltalk,talksender but i shut everything down for the icq to boot up.
I only would like to know how I fix this problem, if you can help me I would appreciate it very much...Please in lamens terms....tech jargin, losses me...lol

Susan, did you ever find the answer to your question? I am having the EXACT same problem with no luck on the cure. Any help that you can pass on would be appreciated. I have probably tried the same things as you did in terms of reloading ICQ, etc. I also did a surface scan of my disk and although it found problems, I still have the crash of ICQ. I get OLEMAINTHREADWNDNAME and KERNEL32.DLL reasons for the crash.
