secure update

Hi,

I am looking for some libraries that allow a group of users SECURELY to update a MySQL database through a webpage.

It does not need to be very sophisticated - but it must be secure - so that only a particular user can update a particular page.

I know there are lots of "content management" packages out there - but they are overkill for what I want. Could anyone recommend some libraries that might be useful? I could write my own - but security needs lots of eyeballs so I would rather use something already tested.

It's easy -- you just need to use SSL for the pages.
('Easy' is a relative term, but I found getting Apache+SSL
going wasn't too difficult a task.)
