sessions

I'm using sessions to protect private pages. Is this system writing a cookie on the client computer ?

I need to be sure because I think it's possible to forbid cookies in browsers.

Well have you read the manual at all?

You can configure php to use cookies to pass the session ID, or to pass the session ID in the URL.
