I have been facing problem in sending mail either by using the mail() function or by a general smtp mail class. On both occasions I get a problem "can not open the socket".
I use Win NT 4.0 with IIS. No exchange(smtp) server. I have also modified the php.ini file to reflect the smtp location in the SMTP option. Also sendmail_from field has been changed.
The sendmail_path has been modified to c:\winnt\system32.
I would be glad if any one can help.
