PHP shell scripting : APACHE-modul

I want want to use the PHP-Apache-modul.
I want to do PHP-shell-scripting, too.

Is it possible just first to compile
the Apache module and use this for web
and then make a second compile for
the shell-scripting in the same
enviroment ?
Are there any known problems or
dependencies ?

Yes this is possible.
You can use the same configure options as for the apache module, but leave out the --with-apache parameter :-)

anything about the timeout
set by
set_time_limit(30);
in PHP-Scripts on shell-scripting ?
Is it working ?

I use it all the time.
My scripts don't run more than 1 second, but I have had one script
where I had to set the max_execution_time() inside the script.
That worked perfectly too.
