The PHP manual says
PHP (officially "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor") is a server-side HTML-embedded scripting language.
Now...I think the PHP in PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor stands for Personal Home Pages....
Pretty confusing, eh?

lol - to be honest I think that PHP always stood for 'personal home page' - but as that sucks big time!!!! it has been changed (but not officially) to preprocessor hyper text, mainly cos PHP'ers think that ASP heads laugh at the original title (and they do ! - but then again they would they know ? 😃)
I always thought it stood for Pre Hypertext Processor. silly me....
