Picking one entry to show in full vs. partial...

Just learning this stuff, so here's what's going on...

MySql database called "partsDB" has the parts information. Including: ID number, name, size, location, and comments.

parts.php consists of a list of all the parts in order by ID number. This list is formatted to show ID number, name, and size.

I have had no problems getting the above to work, but I'm stuck with what I'd like to do next...

I'd like to be able to click on one of the entries in the parts.php listings, and I am then taken to a seperate screen just for that particular part containing the rest of the info for that part that was too large to include in the list.

The thing is, I don't quite understand how to tell the server to list all of a single part's info on another screen by just clicking on it in the listing.

If you don't quite understand what I want to do, look at this example:

parts.php

ID Name Size
1 Ring 25

2 Rod 10
3 Tube 65

If 2 is clicked on, you get this on a seperate screen:

ID: 2
Name: Rod
Size: 10
Location: Location here
Comments: Comments here

Well on the page where you display all the parts you would probably want to create a link out of the part name like:
print "<a href=\"somepage.php?id=".$row["ID"]."\">".$row["Name"]."</a>";

Then one somepgae.php you want to run another query and select just the record with the id you just passed then diaply the info.
