PHP and Iplanet

Hello all,
I really hope someone out there has had this problem and can maby help!
Im using php and Iplanet. The sessions by Iplanet work fine UNLESS the client has cookies disabled. Now the documentation for Iplanet says it will check and then use the url for session info but its not? Is there a configuration I dont know about. How do i tell Iplanet to check for cookie acceptance and if not cookies are accepted then send session info thru the Url?
