Php MyAdmin

Hello,

Im wondering if you can install MyAdmin on a remote machine to access a database and not have PHP installed on that machine?

any help from someone who has installed
MYAdmin is needed

It can be done AFIK, but MySQL (or whatever DB you use) on the remote machine has to be set up to listen externally.

Thanks for responding. I have no Idea what you mean. I inherited this nightmere and have never configured either of the two (mysql admin or MYSql.)

So it can be done, but the db needs to be set up to listen. Ok that don't sound too hard. BUT how do i install MYSqlAdmin on a NT4 box that does NOT have Php set up on it?

I must have misunderstood you - you're not going to be able to run MyAdmin w/o PHP, period.

As far as setting up MySQL to allow external connections, the 'host' table has to be set up correctly. I suggest you really know what you're doing before you start fiddling with the 'host' table.
