Script for StartSite

Hello,

I'm working on a startsite (a site as www.start4all.com etc) for free stuff (my'n is at www.really4nothing.com). The sections have to be maintained by differend webmasters (one for every section). So I get for example: mp3.really4nothing.com, software.really4nothing.com etc.

What script or what is the best way to do this?

It depends 100% on what you are planning to do.
Will your site be php based? then you could write a CMS to let people edit the data through the browser.

Otherwise, the good-old FTP client can work wonders...

Yes, it wil be php based. But i dont want all the webmasters to pload someting. I thought of something as:
- The webmaster will place a file with links on their server
- The script reads the links and will parse them to the universal site layout.

But, then i've to write the whole script, search, things, new/hot site, etc. by myself.

So, if their is a script what does all thesethings, please let me now.
Else, please give me a suggestion how to do this by myself.

At last, my plan is to make a site as http://www.start4all.com

I think this is getting outside the scope of this forum, but here are my thoughts.

I would create a database that contains the links in the various categories.
Then I'd create a script that reads the database and generates the pages on demand.

Then I'd create a page where webmasters can add/edit/remove the links from the database.
You can use sessions to identify webmasters with login and password, and
you can use the login and password to determine who can/cannot edit links in which categories.

Sounds very easy doesn't it? :-)
