I am trying to get a link to show up in an e-mail. I have the complete href statement being printed out. Is there a way of only getting the word I want to be the link being highlighted
That's pretty much up to the email client. Unless you meant to be sending an entire html-format message, complete with mime headers and everything--but even then, you don't have any control over whether the client actually renders it as html or not.
