Is anyone using PHP with Dreamweaver UltraDev? Has there been an extension written fo that yet?

I don't know of any PHP specific extensions, but you can surely write PHP in Ultradev. You just have to go to the code view and type in your PHP in the source.

UD Gang-

I am working on getting support for PHP4 into Ultradev 4.  I have some

working code that implements about 1/2 of UD\'s feature set in PHP (on
Windows). Ideally I\'d like to see a server model for UD that fully supports
PHP. If you want to take a look at release 0.01, the link is at:

There is also a reference panel for PHP in the queue at the Macromedia
Exchange. When it gets reviewed and placed on the exchange, I will post a
message here.

Hmm, interesting, but UD integrates the code too much with its HTML and templating system.
I can't see how you can get a clean PHP code out of it. Maybe you'll get a PHP-driven website, but the code probably won't resemble real PHP programs.
CodeCharge looks much more promising, but still kinda early to tell.
Anyway, isn't there anything else for PHP besides UD and CC ?
How about a notepad and some programming skills ? :-)

well with that type of do -it-yourself attitude, Jerry, why don't you just write your own programming language and code in that instead of opting out for a pre-written language like php.

You coders always look for the easy way out.

For those who wish life to be a little easier in Ultradev and to use PHP4.X, then go to the above link.

Important: If you are currently running Ultradev 4.0 then go get the 4.1 Updater pack and install. This fixes major/minor bug issues. I have installed this 4.1 update after I have installed the PHakt PHP already. I haven't experienced any problems as of yet. If I do run into problems I'll post'em here.
