Hello !
I have 2 ways in a template aproach. The main poblem is menu managing .If I use a static template and, after the site is done, I add some option to the menu, I'll have to edit every single page that contain the menu, this could make me redit hundreds of pages for just one single site. Not useful at all.
The first method is the one that I use today (and I don't think it is correct) and it consists in creating a index.php page with a table with 2 colums and 1 row for example, then I use a variable to include the desired page choosed from the menu in the right colum. So the adrress is always like http://my.domain.com/index.php?current_page=contact.html, and I change the value of the $current_page to include other pages in the right colum.
The second method consists in creating a static template then I include a menu.html page in the left colum of my table.
In the fisrt method only one page has the table drawed while the other pages are just included in the right colum, in the other case, all the pages have the table drawed and the menu.html is included in the left colum.
I'd like to know if there's any ideal method for templates. I've never seen my fisrt method applied to nothing, so I dont think it is usefull. If you guys could tell me something about templates that would be nice !
thx
Anderson Fortaleza
