searching through textfiles

Hi, I'm trying to build a search-rutine for a web-site whitch contains a bunch of .html-files which i want to search trough for a string specified by the user of the search page... Is there any solution to my problem??

ehh forgot to mension one thing, the html-files lies in different subdirecoties beneath the one where the searchpage lies...

I won't include any code with this but

open the root WEB directory
read through it, if you come accross a file, open it check if it contains the string
else (it's a directory) open that and repeat step 2.

If you need the code (not in detail) then leave a reply to this and I'll see if I have time
