How to protect a script

Hi,

I need to know how to purchase a software that encrypt a Perl script, in order to avoid any possible copy to use (stealth).

In other words, how to protect a Perl script?

My script have a separated config.cgi and I use a "require config.cgi", therefore the main script (mainscript.cgi) will be protected and the config.cgi not.

Protecting/encrypting your script will only harm your true customers, who may have a legitemate reason to need to edit your script should you some day not be around.

Hackers, on the other hand, will simply snicker at your pathetic attempts (to them) to protect your intellectual property as they decrypt and edit your file all they want.

If they've got the file, and it can run, they can get the code.

You can use the perlcc or perl2ex to compile your code.
