Mailing Lists

I run a simple mailing list on my website using sendmail and a mysql database, but I can see that this method is not going to scale very well !

We send a daily bulletin in either HTML or plain text format ( the user can choose ). Has anybody had experience of mailing list software that lends itself well to this kind of application and is friendly to Apache/PHP 4.0 ?

At the early day, I used to use php base mailing list, but that was a kinda slow system and it ate a lot of comp resources. Then I've installed EZMLM software, which was much better, anyway read the docs to gather the info u needed.
