Need HTML to PNG PHP

That's a lot of acronyms! I need a PHP script to change an HTML file at a remote address into a PNG file 100 X 75px for storage on my server. Thanks!

I don't think you're going to find this. php doesn't display html, so formatting it correctly will be a huge pain. Maybe you can get the file with lynx and have it export to ps or something that could be used to create a png file.

This will be incredibly difficult. You'd probably have to write you're own HTML renderer. At the very least you would need a browser on the server. It might be possible with a custom C or Java program working with your PHP script.

However you do it, it's almost certainly not worth it. 🙂

there is aparently one way: use html2ps http://www.tdb.uu.se/~jan/html2ps.html to convert html to postscript then run the result through convert (ImageMagick) http://www.imagemagick.org/www/convert.html to convert the ps to png or jpg or gif or whatever....

BUT html2ps is not so good @ complex pages so you may have to fiddle a bit
