PHP4 / Oracle with exec() problem

Hello,

I'm writing this in hope that someone out there has ran into the same problem (and hopefully have found some kind of fix for it).

I recently installed an Oracle 8i server. Everything is fine, I get the PHP to connect to Oracle, etc. No problems there.

But, when I try any sort of exec() {or system() etc.} it doesn't work. Through troubleshooting, I've determined that it's libclntsh.so that's throwing it off. With it in the LD_PRELOAD, the exec doesn't work. Without it, it does.

Anyone else out there that can help me with this? I've tried 4.01pl2, 4.02, and 4.03pl1 with no avail.

You need to put the full path to libclntsh.so in LD_PRELOAD.
