Who know about the http://www.liquidweb.com web hosting company good or not???

I currently host my site gamers-connection.com with them, I use php and a mysql database. I have been with them for 6 months now and in that time i have had about 4 1/2 months online! The rest of the time waiting for them to fix the servers.

Before i signed up i talked to the support and asked for a specific server that had gif support for php. They said that was no problem, so i signed up and of course they forgot to put me on the right server! I wrote to tech support and said sorry we will fix it staight away. One day later i had an email saying im on the new server with gif support. Now that i new i had gif support i changed my domain to point to it. Once my domian was transfered i could start uploading my site. Then what do i find out! Mysql is not installed on this machine even though that is what i am paying for in my package! So once again they changed my server to the CORRECT one(yes i had to repoint my domain). By the time i was on the right server and my domain was pointing to the right place my first bill from them came. I thought i would ask for my money back, just for that month where my site was down. But no answer to that question!

That was not the last of my problems either. Every now and then(every 2 weeks) the database server will go down for about 1-2 days.

All in all they are a S**T service! And i would recomend not recommend them to any one!
They say they have 99% uptime, errr.. crap. they say they have 24 hour tech support, errr.. crap.

There's no "one size fits all" web host out there. That's why I resell the services of a number of hosts. If you want, feel free to contact me off the board and I can try to work out with you what host would be suitable for your needs.

Hi Jack,

I am interested in finding another host. I am currently using LiquidWeb as my host but my site went down for a day and no reason was given. I am setting up a record label/e-commerce site so I need PHP, MYSQL as well as the 99.9% uptime they claimed to have but they have shown me not to be that reliable already so I'm not feeling very confident with them. Especially after what I've read on this list. I also need a bit of disk/bandwidth space for Mp3s and such. I couldn't find anyone else with the same value as LiquidWeb. If you know of any that have the same sort of specs as LiquidWeb then let me know

Hey, this is a copy of my post from WHT:

I used LiquidWeb for about a year on their $25 a month plan. I actually hardly ever used it for much but eMail and storing a file every now and then. Probably didn't use an average of 15MB a month.

Still there was downtime 1 or more times a week and slow server response issues. There were other issues as well. They had a pretty good support response time though, but far from perfect. If I had to rate them, it would be about a 7.7 out of 10. I switched hosts a couple weeks ago and have been pretty happy so far.

I have been with Liquidweb for a year and a half. When I first started they were good, there there were outages everyday for an hour or two. I was in finals at school and didnt have time to think about it. then it was fine and three weeks ago the server i was on was down for a day(really 30 hours). then it was up. my sites ip wasnt working so they moved me and now my subdomains didnt work. I have left and gone to VenturesOnline (http://venturesonline.com). A friend of mine (http://equaked.com) was at lw and he left after a month when his server crashed. So I wouldnt use them.
