im in the process of developing a portal for my company's website. im looking at doing something very similar to the portals that about.com and similar isp's are using where they usually have some sort of redirector known as offsite.html or similar. im wondering if there is a tutorial or something on how to program this. im not sure if my question is clear so ill rephrase the question a bit. how do i keep users within my website... while displaying offsite html pages? id thank anyone for any information they have.

extra simple redirect script: (make sure there are NO SPACES or CRS before the <?php tag!!!
------ BEGIN FILE -----
<?php
header ("location: http://$location");
?>

call like so:

redirect.php3?location=www.somesite.com

thats exactly what i am talking about! thanks scott. i have one further question though, since im a newbie at php and all... id create a new page and name it redirect.php3?location=www.somesite.com, or would is this like a "redirection" script, where i would place it within the format of a page and php would take care of the rest?

You'd name the script with the single header ("location: xxx"); line redirect.php3 and call if from another document like this:
&ltA HREF="redirect.php3?location=www.somesite.com">somesite&lt/A>
