I am interested in using PHP because of the cross-platform advantages. However, I am coming into an environment in which IIS/Windows is the preferred platform (can't change this).
I may be able convince the powers that be to change the scripting platform from ASP to PHP or something else, but I need some information about the viability of doing so.
Has anyone benchmarked IIS/ASP against IIS/PHP4? What are the advantages of PHP? Of ASP? Is this worth pursuing?
