Can someone point me at a good host that is NOT using version 4.0b2. That version appears to be beta and I am having problems like it's going out of style.

Virtual ISP Ltd supports PHP and is running 4.0.1pl2 at present with GD, MySQL, TTF precompiled. They run it as an apache service and most of their core apps are written in PHP both front end and back-end processing.

Check hosts.php.net as well, you can limit searches to php version although not sure how accurate it is.
