hi!
i have a guild in a computer game and i have a guy in that guild that made a cgi script to add people to the list where it gives titles (like lord or squire or so) dependent on their level and status in the hierarchy
i now try to do this in php with sql.
i have a database with the name, with the status (1= senator, 2= marquis, 3= normal) and the levels (they give the title for status 3, at status 1 it is like "Senator XXX", at status it is like "XXX (M)", at status 3 it is like "XXX the Neophyte" or "XXX the Squire" or "Lord XXX").
well, all works fine with the titles now, but i need to sort it so the senators are listed first, then the marquis, then the normal people, i dont want to sort it after names (like senator al first, then senator numi, then senator xan, then marquis abe, then marquis ben....), just with the status's
another thing is, that if i open the list with the people, then change something in the database, go to another page, close ie (5.0), reopen ie, go to the list again, it doesnt show the changes, till i hit refresh...is there a way to automatically refresh the page on reopen?
i read about the options for the ie with "search for newer versions at every open of page" - doesnt work
i read about the "header(no-cache)"-thingie - doesnt work (i might not be able to put it at the right spot or so)
i would appreciate any help
thanks in advance
