HTML table talk :)

I'm gonna step out of php to ask a general html question -- because I know everyone here is knowledgable of all angles of web dev...

I'm having the problem that if someone posts to my messageboard (that I made) with a long string.... like kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

something without any breaks, it wrecks my tables... and makes the page scroll... is there a way in html to make the table boundaries actually be boundaries instead of guidelines?

Any input'd be great!

hehe, I see that this board also suffers from the problem 🙂

all of HTML suffer from this "problem"
it's up to the author of html pages to make the content
of his tables fit into his tables.

In other words: you need to truncate the strings yourself.
