what proggy do you use ?

I'm not on the server( when at home) what proggy should i use to work properly ??

Euh... what proggy to do what? telnet? www? ftp? ssh? textediting? playing quake 4?

I'm from Alabama. I think it's illegal to use a proggy there. Are you sure this kind of question is appropriate???

What system are you using. Linux, Microreich, Mac, etc....?

I would say Cooledit if you are using Linux, or maybe even Nedit.

Quanta and Bluefish are a bummer for php edititing. They will work but the syntax highlighting is bunk(Bluefish) or there is little control over text size as it's displayed by the editor(Quanta).

There is also CodeCommander, and Moonshine, but I just couldn't get into those. Matter of tasted I guess.

In Win98 SE, I use Homesite 4.5, PWS (Personal Web Server), and the Windows versions of MySQL & PHP4.

PWS is a web server for windows, and enables me to run server-side code (PHP). Homesite is a retail HTML & ASP editor, and is the only one I've found that works well with local servers (and I've tried about 10 different apps).

I can then ftp the to the server and only need to change the MySQL server address to have things work there.
