any one installed php-4.0b3

i want to install the php-4.0b3 to support the vmailmgr's function in "dl" directory. but i failed several times. who can tell me the right way to install it.

Why 4.0b3 instead of 4.03pl1 or 4.04?

Have you checked the change log to see if there was a bug prior to 4.04 in the functions you are trying to use?

If so, then you're not going to get it to work without backporting the bugfix, and at that point, it pays just to put the newest version on rather than try to do that.

Further, you might wanna mention the OS and web server you are running, as PWS on windows 98 is considerably different from thttpd on linux...

Starting from php 4.03 I only could it make to work on my windows machine. Yeah better try 4.04 as Scott proposed.

i downloaded the php-4.0.4 version. i find it contains no function to support the vmailmgr.
