How do i display the file size of an img

Hi,

I would like to have links to pictures like:

Hi-res (620 kb) - Low-res (120 kb)

How can i get the image file sizes?

The images are in a sub dir on my server, an are named like: $id_low.jpg & $id_hi.jpg
