"Passing a cookie between servers is tricky"
I am trying to pass a cookie from a http:// to a https:// but the cookie does not travel to the SSL.
I need help or I will loose my job.

no, one is a http call and another is a https,any idea?
http vs https is the "scheme" part of the URL. He means, is the domain (the part immediately after the //) the same? If they are, you should have no problem (I myself do this all the time.) If they aren't, then it won't work and has nothing to do with ssl; it's the way the cookie spec was designed.
