Timed self-execution

Hi Guys

I need to write a cleaner script that will safely run
a URL list of admin Scripts stored in a txt file every $hours.
On some kind of timed function.

As the scripts which need to be run, are all in different
directory's and I need to be able to edit the list.

i.e.

http://www.test.com/dir1/script1.php
http://www.test.com/dir2/script2.php
http://www.test.com/dir3/script3.php

etc...

What would be the best to do this? In a safe and
system resource friendly way.
