PHP problems in Netscape

Hi,

Our php builder is out and a shopping site we are working on is failing in Netscape. It works fine in IE, but has display issues on the first page and completely fails upon adding an item to cart and all other pages. If anyone would be willing to take a look and offer up suggestions, we'd appreciate anything.

had a quick look. I think that its a html problem. Netscape is a pain - what I recommend is making sure your tables look ok in Netscape first of all and then add the javascript and php stuff later. Do this in stages - first the javascript test it and then the php - test again.
When a page looks ok in Netscape it always looks ok in Explorer. Alot of the table tags you use are not supported - esp. <tbody>.

Also left margin attributes <BODY bgColor=#ffffff leftMargin=0 topMargin=0> are not supported.
And the background image in the table will never work. (line 137)<TD align=right width=510 background="/scstore/scpages/kgw_images/kgw_info.jpg">

giggle you have an interesting opinion about browsers. :-)

First, netscape is not a pain, it just needs correct HTML code. IE will happily interpret anything that looks like HTML, even unclosed tables in some cases.

Second, if something looks good in netscape, it most definately does not allways look good in IE.
Especially the fontsizes are quite different.

And third, Netscape 4.75+ does support background images for tables, even animated ones.
