Complete output not being sent to user

I have an interesting problem on my site.
when someone requests a php page the end of the page is not sent to the browser.
the page gets cut off about 20 or so lines from the bottom of the page.
It seems to cut off at the same exact point regardless of the request or the script being called. -- But, it always gets cut short. Is there a maximum number of characters that php will send?

Is there something more obvious that I'm missing?

1) Did you check the page source in your broswer to see if you are really not getting everything or your browser is just not showing it?
2) Did you check your script to make sure there isn't some lost "exit" or "return" in the wrong place that could stop the script?

Sorry, I probably should have given more detail.

I verified what the server was sending back to the browser first by viewing the sorce. I then double checked by telneting into the server on port 80 and "GET"ing one of the many pages in question. The reply was indeed cut short.

The scripts aren't stopping in the middle of a function somewhere. Rather the text at the end of the pages which are being provided to the script via the "virtual()" function are not completely being sent through to the browser. The files, i assure you, are complete.

It's almost as if the PHP engine decides that it has sent enough out to the browser and just stops, or perhaps appache gets tired of waiting for more output.

Anyway, I'm out of ideas here. I'm just hoping that there's some obvious configuration problem i've created in setting up PHP and/or appache that will provide a quick fix to the problem.
