about creating an article system

I am having problems creating an article system for my website. E.g I'm trying to create a "channels" page which will link to a templated page filled with articles. Along with that I would like to give the user the ability to post a message in my discussion- board, send to a friend, or print. Could someone help me out with that. Thanks a lot!
