Session var nightmare

Dear All,

I'm about to commit suicide.

It's over 2 weeks that I'm trying to find a way out of my nightmare, please help.

I know that we can create a var with session() function to be able to access the content of the var. throughout the site (scripts). Now, how the hell get I change the value of a var that was created with session_start()/session_registered() by one of my scripts.

Please let me know.

On first web page:

session_start();
session_register("A_Variable") ;

$A_Variable = "Something" ;

On next web page:

session_register("A_Variable") ;

$A_Variable = "Something else" ;

Actually, you don't need to register the same variable again, but you do need to session_start()

And make sure you pass the session ID along to the next script
And make sure the register_globals is on.
And try $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['varname'] just in case.

Is it possible for you to send me an example, but a good example of session in real PHP code.

I've seen parts and pieces of the so called session miracle, but never a complete code.

If you got the time for sure.

I've been meaning to write an article about sessions to get all the problems and mysteries out of the way for good.

If I have a few hours to spare I'll see what I can do.
Meanwhile, if there is anyone else who can do it, please do!
