I have created a .htaccess file which works fine on my web site but not working on my local server. when I access that protect directory it opens the "Directory Structure " In my broser ..Exampale when I hit the url "Localhost\new\test" ("test" contains the .htaccess file), It shows ..
Index of new/test
and shows the files of "new" directory..
On my localhost I have intalled "Apache" on windows 98.. What's the problem ??
