I went to check my job listing here at phpbuilder, and it appears the whole jobs section is gone. I have a job opening here in California (Silicon Valley area) for a full-time, permanent Web Developer.
We're building an intranet on a Sun E450 running Solaris, Oracle, PHP, and Apache. I'm looking for someone who knows PHP and SQL really well. My goal is to create a user-updated (via forms), database-driven Web server that will replace the 50+ gig file server with a Web-based system, and then replace every database app at the company with a Web interface. That means org charts on the Web, vacation request forms, order tracking for Sales, a task manager, employee review forms, etc. Plus peripheral stuff, such as LAN messaging, Web scheduling sync'd to Outlook, and hopefully, someday, replacing the E450 with a Linux cluster. Maybe other stuff if you have good ideas. And you don't have to know anything other than XHTML (HTML OK), CSS, PHP, and SQL -- as long as you want to learn.
I don't work at a dot-com, and the company had its IPO years ago. So you'll have to like the job rather than the money (although salaries are in line with this area, and we do offer profit sharing and stock). It's a mid-level position. Email me.
