HTTP_REFERER

Hello,

I want to log my referers, but $HTTP_REFERER is undefined. When I try using JavaScript, parent.document.referrer is correctly set. Neither $ ref = getenv('HTTP_REFERER') works!

Where is the problem?

echo $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_REFERER'];

Well, no effect :-(
Only JavaScript gives the Referer if outside my own site. I do not have any idea why.

What server platform and PHP version (ISAPI or CGI) do you run your site on?

I have noticed that PHP running on IIS4 doesn't return the HTTP_REFERER when broswing with IE. It does work correctly, however, when browsing with Netscape.

I found the solution and it's nearly ridculous ...

I use Web Washer with option "remove referers if domains are different" - that's all.

But hey, it seems to be a bug in this programm because JavaScript's parent.document.referrer was set nevertheless g
