Get pop3!!!!

how i can access the pop account.is there any free were available i heard about imp but its required imap but i don't whethere my server configured with imap or not.If my server not configured with imap then how i can built imp type of things for my and my customers pop account.

and how i can check that the imap is running on my server or not.

There is a fairly good class for dealing with pop3 at http://phpclasses.upperdesign.com/browse.html/class/2 or alternatively you could always right your own. It is really not all that difficult. The POP3 protocol is a fairly simple protocol, the details of it can be found in the document STD/STD53 at http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/std/std53.html
